We've Arrived

Hello friends and family.  After 12 hours crammed into a small space and sleeping very little, we have arrived.  We are both gob-smacked at everything and keep pointing and saying "look" a little too loudly.  There's the freeways (so many lanes), the vehicles (so big), the palm trees, the gorgeous houses.  Pasadena is actually a mecca of trees in an otherwise unrelenting desert.   And, we are right across the street from one of Tracy's "must-eat-at" restaurants, Gin Sushi.  So...that's for tomorrow.

I think we are two of very few people walking around the streets.  All the traffic is very courteous and not a little mystified at our behaviour.  Tomorrow we pick up the car and head off a little further afield.

We have got a new phone number for the US but anybody can text us (a bit) 'cause it costs us to receive as well as to send.  The number +1-626-616-5402.

Hi to Arthur.  Hope all is well with you.  Will write again tomorrow and hopefully have a few pictures.  Bye for now.

Glad you touched down safely. I nearly didn't get rid of the dog as airport wouldn't accept his specially made cage (to IATA rules) until we got the general manager to confirm the cage, dog, & rules. Cold sweat. I will copy & fax your blog to Father. Have fun.

Hi Mum and Clancy - glad you're "safely" on American soil. (Watch out for Republicans.)
