This is just a short update on the reunion activities which revolved around eating and drinking. I probably enjoyed the picnic the most because we could move around easily and one didn't have to shout. I am hoarse from 2 nights of restaurants. It was amazing how much everyone looked like they used to....just a little older. I think Clancy and I were the only ones who didn't dye our hair though. This is us at the Italian Restaurant. Next night was Mexican and way too many marguaritas!
Here is the church I attended during high school years. I understand it is a replica of a bascilica in Rome, Saint Andrews perhaps? Don't know how to spell bascilica.
Each of the pillars up the sides of the church are made from a different colour marble, no doubt imported from Italy. I think it is over 150 years old. Not so old in European terms I guess. There are also frescos painted on the ceilings and all kinds of gorgeous details. The day we were there, a wedding was in progress so we were just quietly sneaking around. You can just make out the happy couple up at the alter.
And that's all about that for now.
Bye

Awesome! You now need to take pictures of your individual friends and scan in their high school yearbook photo for comparison! ;)
And you are probably the most real people if you are the only ones not dying your hair. I love you both for that!
(Really from Judy - just using Bruce's Google account till I get one sorted out)
Hi Mary and Clancy! Great pics and commentary. Brought back good memories of travelling in the same area. I remember rollerblading along the boardwalk to Venice Beach once!!
If you have a chance to drop in to Esalen at Big Sur do so!! Have a spa and / or massage. I lived there for 6 months back in early 80's and it was life changing.
Happy travels and keep those reports coming in.
Will now try to send this to you. Much love from Judy
I agree with Tracy - you probably are the truly real people. Have just booked ANZ flights from ChCh to Nelson & back for trip down. Have been faxing some of your blog to Father & will let him know my dates. Bye
